The Healthspan Program

A 10-month structured, physician-led program to restore health and optimize healthspan in the perimenopause and menopause transition.

Midlife is a major health transition.

Hormonal changes in perimenopause affect the body from head to toe and can significantly impact health, function, and quality of life.

The Healthspan Program is designed for women who want more than reassurance, disconnected advice, or another list of things to try. It is for women who want trusted physician guidance, a clear strategy, and structured implementation to restore health now and optimize healthspan for the years ahead.

Restore and Optimize Your Health

The Healthspan Program brings together the best of internal medicine, lifestyle medicine, and updated menopause care in a structured, personalized program.

We begin by clarifying what is changing, what matters most, and what needs to happen first. Then we build and implement a prioritized plan over time.

The goal is not to do everything at once.

The goal is to identify the highest-value next steps, implement them well, measure what is changing, and build the health practices, supports, and clinical strategy that allow you to feel and function better.

Unique Expertise

Dr. Amy Boutwell brings together the expertise of an internal medicine physician, a specialist in lifestyle medicine and menopause care, and a national leader in healthcare delivery improvement.

Her work has always focused on helping people get what they need by creating better healthcare delivery systems. She has led national efforts to transform care for patients with complex medical and social needs by identifying what matters most, what is getting in the way, and what practical steps can produce meaningful improvement.

The Healthspan Program applies that same disciplined approach to women’s health in midlife.

Complex transformation requires more than information. It requires strategy, prioritization, structure, and guided implementation.

Program Structure

The Healthspan Program is a 10-month program organized into five phases.

Phase 1: Assess and Prioritize
We clarify your current health status, symptoms, goals, risks, strengths, and priorities. We identify what matters most now and sequence action plans to create momentum and results. An optional in-person initial assessment in Lexington is available.

Phases 2–4: Implement and Adjust
We implement prioritized action plans in a structured cadence. Each action period focuses on practical, feasible changes designed to improve how you feel, function, and measure progress. We adjust as we go based on what is working, what is not working, and what your data and lived experience show us.

Phase 5: Reassess and Sustain
We reassess progress, harvest insights, identify the next set of priorities, and define the plan to sustain your results over time.
